D1013 - Meeting held with Rob Evans of South Devon Railway Engineering Ltd

A meeting was held on Saturday, 20 August 2022 to discuss the potential overhaul of the wheel-sets for D1013 Western Ranger. The opportunity was taken to view the potential work involved for the wheel-set overhaul with our spare wheel-sets stored at Kidderminster, which includes cleaning, examination and non-destructive testing of the axles, replacement of bearings, cleaning and painting of the wheels themselves. This work would be additional to re-tyring the wheels and the bogie overhaul in general, subject to D1013's bogie appeal and NHLF Funding.
