Work started on second bogie for D1013!

Following the overhaul of "B" end bogie of D1013, work has now started on "A" end bogie! This is a significant step forward with the ongoing Bogie overhaul for D1013, which followed a "megga shunt" at Kidderminster TMD to make it happen. Lyn Jones (Working Members Representative) reported "D1013 was lifted off both bogies and the accommodation bogie was then hand pushed out onto the turntable at the TMD, it was then turned. The "A" end bogie was then taken out of the TMD at the other end of the shed and put to one side, while the shunt commenced to get the overhauled bogie back under D1013. This was achieved by bringing the accommodation bogie back under and reconnecting the loco body to it. This was then lifted and the overhauled bogie was hand pushed back under the loco to the "B" end. Whilst all this is going on, the scraping of the crud began on the bogie that had just been removed...!"
