The WLA's Board & Management Committee has just updated its Business Plan for 2025 to 2027. This comprehensive Plan, covering some 48 pages, explains the WLA's history and background together with its current Aims & Objectives for the next 3 years. In particular, the key financial figures are provided since 2021 along with with projections to 2027. In addition, the Plan incorporates the WLA's new Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) Policy, together with its Environmental Policy, EDI Policy and Guidance for Volunteers.
Within the Plan, steady growth in WLA Membership can be seen since 2020, when the number of WLA Members was recorded at 243 but has now reached around 560 Members as at the beginning of 2025, an increase of around 130% and well on the way to an overall target of 600 by 2026, all being well.
The current updated Plan, takes a cautious view for the year ahead in view of general business uncertainty and so there is plenty of scope to "overachieve" rather than the opposite!
The WLA is very grateful for all the help and support it gains from its Members, Volunteers and Class 52 enthusiasts throughout the UK, and from those abroad.
